Jeff Ooi Sings
EDIT:
Okay here’s my take.
Are things going to improve if the opposition come into power? Nobody knows. But looking at our current state, it cannot get any worst.
The only way we are going to know is to give these fellas a chance. These fellas who was sent to prison for defending us. Ask your state assemblyman. Is he willing to go to jail for you? Some of them are quite well off, they have decent jobs and yet they choose to be outspoken and all. Going to prison for defending what you believe in is no joke. I may not like some of their ideas (well last time lar, especially when they co-operated with PAS) but I certainly respect them.
The other day, I saw in the TV that a certain son in law said if the opposition comes into power, we will menderita.
Those that are going to menderita is the people who have been pocketing the taxpayers money all these while.
I’m gonna be realistic. It is virtually impossible for them to come into power unless they were to win every single seat.
But right here, in Penang, I’m hoping at least for a substantial win. The only thing that has changed over the years are probably the number of high rise buildings. The prices of house here are ridiculous. Even houses in KL are cheaper. I see a jungle everyday when I walk out of my house. In 10 years time, I’ll probably be seeing high rise condos. And the construction of the second bridge. I’m all for it. Just this evening, I was stucked at the road opposite Queensbay (going to bridge/Jelutong Expressway). Yes the jam stretched till Queensbay. And a couple of years ago, I was caught in the jam on Penang bridge for two freaking hours. Imagine those workers who have to commute between the island and mainland everyday. You think sit inside the car for two hours is fun issit.
Some people are saying that if the chinese and indians don’t vote for the MCA or MIC, we won’t have any representative in the Parliament. Well, not like it’s gonna make much difference. Not like they are fighting for us.
And our beloved ex Penang Chief Minister is contesting in Batu Kawan. He is gonna get lots of sympathy votes from the Chinese. If he loses, he can say goodbye to the Ministerial post and god knows who will represent the Gerakan at Cabinet.
okay gtg cis.
DONT GO SO EARLY TOMR HOR. GO AT FOUR SOMETHING.
Found videos of Jeff Ooi singing at youtube. Clear ones!
And he plays the guitar too.
I kid.
No, seriously.
I have it in video! But it’s over 200mb and youtube’s limit is only 100mb.
Nevermind, we look at the pictures first.
All photos and video taken with phone, so quality not that good.

The crowds at around 7.40. Most people showed up in RED and some in WHITE.

Halfway through don’t know whose speech, it started drizzling and then it stopped.
And it poured.
But the crowds came prepared.
And the stage had no shades. So the candidates just sat on the stage drenched in the rain.

Datuk Keramat’s candidate if I’m not mistaken. Son of Karpal Singh if I’m not mistaken. It’s either him or the Sri Delima’s candidate.

Chong Eng who spoke mostly on women’s power. She mentioned DAP is fielding 17 women candidates while MCA is only fielding 16.

Lim Guan Eng arrives.

Karpal Singh speaks.

Donation box being passed around. They managed to collect RM38000 during the last ceramah at Han Chiang. Seems like Klang and Malacca’ people are a generous bunch. RM100k+ were collected in two locations at Klang and RM50k in Malacca.
EDIT : Looks like this ceramah collected RM 123 000. Penangites are not kiamsiap!

Fireworks.

Lim Kit Siang. Last picture before my phone died on me. Did not charge it yesterday.
I was there till the end. All the candidates spoke about different issues. I can’t remember who said what already.
They claimed that the crowds who were at the Rifle Range Ceramah the day before was there to see the local singer, Ah Niu perform.
The usual issues were brought up - Keris, scholarships, admission to local uni, PORR, the race course project, penang bridge’s toll, the three potential CM, koh tsu koon etc etc.
The crowds were amazing. Cheering and all. They said there were around 50k people there. I don’t know lar. I’m bad with numbers.
They kept asking us the voters to give them a chance. And saying it’s time for mr. koh to pay back his 18 years of debts to penangites. 18 years of nothing-ness.
Whatever it is, I hope the huge turnout translate into votes.
Jeff Ooi can sing! And plays the guitar as well!
About the videooooooo……….urgh wait till later lar okay. I’ll see what I can do. How do you split the video up in parts?
