Ingolf Kneipe

I’ve been wanting to go to this place for years but it wasn’t until a week or so ago that I finally went.

Mushroom soup. It was a bit salty for me.

Appetizer. Some baked potatoes. I like it.

Beef rolls wrapped in bacon strips if I’m not mistaken. If you don’t like the smell of beef, then don’t order this as the smell is quite strong. I like the mashed potatoes but I still like Chilli’s better due to the white colored sauce they used on them. Anyone knows what sauce are those ar?

The purple-ish thing on the right..I’m not quite sure what those are. It taste like fried onions but I don’t think those are fried onions.

Grilled chicken in black pepper sauce. I like the sauce. One of the best black pepper sauce I’ve had.

Price wise, its cheaper than Chilli’s and the portion are big too. All the above plus two glass of ice lemon tea came up to about RM65.

Let me tell you why it’s only RM65.

The 5% gov tax are already included in the prices you see on the menu and there’s no service charge. So it’s up to you whether to leave tips or not la but I think you should. Personally, I don’t leave a tip if the service charge is already included in the bill (come on la, 10% of RM100 is already RM10) but if it is not, I will.

Call 04-899 5796 for reservations. All the tables downstairs were reserved when I was there.

This place is at the same row as Tanjung Bungah’s 7-11. The one in Pearl Hill.

Chicken Rice

This place is famous for it’s white curry mee (the gravy la) but I go there for the pak cham kai. I think what makes a good chicken rice is the rice used and also the sauce. To me, it’s mostly the sauce. This is one of my many favorite chicken rice place.

This is for two. You can order the indvidual set too and 2 of them is cheaper than this but the portion are larger for this. Consider ordering an extra bowl of rice to go with this as you will have some leftover after finishing the plate of rice that comes with it.

Meatballs and fishballs.

This place is at the middle of abu siti lane. It’s about 2 shops away from Forever tour agency. All the above with an extra bowl of rice and 2 glasses of soya cost about RM18.

Ecco Cafe

Pasta in an old school kopitiam.

Click for a bigger pic.

The cream sauce was delicious and so was the kuay teow pasta.

This place is situated along Chulia Street. It’s near the turning to Cintra Street. The turning will be on your left while the cafe will be on your right. It’s closed on sundays.

The pasta are home-made. I’m not sure if they serve other type of pastas. They have pizzas too.

I’ll be going back there again to try the pizzas.
