28 Years Too Early

The weekend before last, I had a blackout while I was out buying dinner. So the next day I went to see my GP. He suggested that I should go see a heart specialist.

So I went to Adventist, my fav hospital.

Saw one of the specialist and I basically did all sorts of test. Blood test, Echocardiogram (ultrasound of the heart), treadmill stress test. After the echo test, the doc told me the chance of me getting coronary disease at this age is zero. The test did not show anything wrong obviously haha so I was hooked up on a little device. It’s called the holter. And I was admitted.

View from my room lalala. They have wifi also hehe. So I was basically online during my stay also.

While making his rounds, the doc told me what he thinks happened.

Link.

I had to wear the holter for like 24 hours. So the next day during lunch I sneaked out with a friend. Adventist serves vegetarian food.

To eat chicken rice.

Very delicious btw.

Next time I bring you all go.

I told the nurses I was just going down to the bakery heh.

Anyway it’s not fun being admitted when you are not actually sick but better to be safe than sorry I guess. I did not sleep that well as the nurses came by the room to check my blood pressure (which is actually quite low come to think of it) few times during the night.

I didn’t get a chance to see the doc before I left but I was given the results of the holter monitor la. Not like I know how to read the charts and all.

And I found out some things about me I didn’t know previously from the blood test results.

Hah.

The cost of being given a clean bill of health?
